Ted Grudowski is an award-winning digital storyteller of twenty years, with eight years as a pioneer in early digital photography and online multimedia before that. Leading his own production business in Seattle since 2014, he serves as Director of Photography, Editor and Producer for a broad spectrum of clients, including Microsoft, Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife, Washington State Department of Transportation, Columbia Bank, Conservation Northwest, Washington Department of Natural Resources, Forterra, Lamborghini, University of Washington Bothell, Airline Pilots Association, National Safety Council, Seattle Children’s Hospital, Michael Murphy Productions, Kittitas Conservation Trust, Washington State Association for Justice and more.
In 2021 the short film This Land Is Part Of Us, produced with Darrin Gunkel, garnered a Gold Telly Award in the People’s Telly category. A 2018 documentary film Cascade Crossroads, produced with Kristoffer Browne and Sandy Asher for a non-profit coalition, earned Gold and Bronze Telly Awards, a NW regional Emmy nomination, and screened in eleven different film festivals in the US and internationally. Both of these films are used nationwide for conservation education. Because of his passion for conservation and the environment of the Pacific Northwest, Ted has developed an extensive library of footage from all across the region.
Previously Ted worked as Senior Video Producer at Microsoft/MSN.com for twelve years, leading a Telly Award-winning small-business news series “News on Main” with sponsorship from Sprint, and covering events such as the Academy Awards, the Grammy Awards, the Golden Globe Awards, the Cannes Film Festival, New Orleans Jazz Festival, automotive events in Detroit, Paris, and Toronto, and countless other events in the entertainment world.
Over the course of his career, he has edited over a thousand videos, garnering millions of online audience views.
Additionally, his 3D-stereographic fine art photography has been exhibited at Sea-Tac International Airport, Bumbershoot Arts Festival, Los Angeles Center for Digital Arts, and The Annenberg Space for Photography, where he has lectured about his artwork.
Ted has a BA in Photography from Southern Illinois University.
